Something is simmering...We are SchloR. We are a self-organized cultural and housing project in the heart of the popular 11th district. And ware you looking for ... you? Yes? Eh! For more than five years, we have been working together towards our dream of creating long-term, secure, and affordable spaces for collaborative working and living. We belong to the solidary and self-organized collective habiTAT, which offers support and know-how to individual projects. We are currently 11 people who will be living @Rappachgasse. Together with people from Crap (Creatives @ Rappachgasse – arts and crafts area) & Trap (Training @ Rappachgasse – training hall), we take over a site of 3100m2. Six of us already live on site. In the future, a total of 20 people will be able to live at Rappachgasse 26. We would like to welcome 4-5 new people to our collective this autumn. Some walls have already been torn down and rebuilt. The studio complex, including a seminar room, recording studio, ceramic workshop, wood / metal workshop, studios, 3-room apartment, and, not to forget, the event room is almost finished. A building with three brand new apartments will be next, in which three to six people can live (the apartments are adaptable, therefore, variable in size and in number of residents they may accommodate). In addition, we will have parking spaces for 2-3 vans for people who prefer individual and mobile living. Our training hall is also getting a new look and will be transformed into a comfortable place for the trainees in both the scorching heat and the freezing cold. Completion is expected in August 2022. So, if you like to deal with the trials, tribulations, and wonders of self-organized collectives, if solidarity is a cornerstone for you and not a minor matter, and if you would like to organize your living situation for the long term, then send an email to us, we would like to get to know each other. Write briefly something about yourself and your motivation to take part in our project and send it by 5.
